KYC (Know Your Customer) is a one-time identity check required before you can create or join any thrift slot. It protects every member in a circle by ensuring all participants are real, verified people. Once approved, your KYC status is permanent — you will never need to do it again.

After login, your dashboard shows a yellow KYC banner if verification is incomplete. Click "Complete KYC" on that banner, or go to Profile → Verify Identity from the sidebar.
Enter your legal name exactly as it appears on your ID document, your date of birth, your NIN (National Identification Number), and your current residential address.
Choose one of the four accepted ID types. Select the one that matches the physical document you have on hand.

Your browser will ask for permission to use your camera. Click "Allow" — without this, the live photo step cannot be completed.
Face the camera directly. Ensure your full face fits inside the oval. Remove glasses, hats, or face coverings. Click "Capture" when ready.
After capture, a preview is shown. If your face is blurry or partially cut off, click "Retake" before continuing.
All the information you entered is displayed for a final review. Read everything carefully. If anything is wrong, click "Edit" next to that section to go back and fix it. When everything is correct, click "Submit for Verification".
Immediately after submission you'll see a success screen and receive an email confirming your documents are under review.
